Some information about my stage in the development of this website and where I plan to take it

Introduction

I have been programming websites for a long while now and I really enjoy making things like this as I find true joy in what I do. This process though takes a long time as each section and feature of the website needs to be tested thoroughly to ensure nothing breaks and that it all functions as expected.

This website as a whole has been multiple years in the making and has undergone so many different changes with its layout and theming, and that likely will continue into the future as I find a layout that I really enjoy. So far, I have added sections that I will be using for making API tokens, JSON Schemas, general API endpoints, and may more things. I have added formatted pages for all the general files I use in my code repositories such as formatted licenses, community standards, policies, and much more. Each and every feature I add serves a purpose, and I think each and every one of them is important. Nevertheless, I feel it is important to make a sort of roadmap of what I still want to add to this website as it is still in its early stages.

Roadmap

Stage 1

The first thing I still want to add to this website is some public API routes that provide some sort of utility. I want to be able to provide some silly APIs that do ramdom things such as give a random GIF or one that provides information about your IP address. I just want to add something that people can freely access for whatever they want to do. This process takes time though.

Estimated Time: 30-40 Hours + OpenAPI Documentation Time

Stage 2

I want to also re-add the ability for users to sign up for accounts on the website so that they can get API tokens for the aforementioned API system. I also want one so that people can react to these blog posts and add comments. I also would like one so that people can potentially support me in other forms and that way I can provide some sort of credit. I had previously had a system for users to authenticate with, but I ended up removing it as I didn't feel it fit the vibe at the time. Either way, I want to readd it back in soon.

Estimated Time:

  • Base implementation: 10 Hours
  • Blog Post Interactions: 10-15 Hours
  • API Token Management: 5-10 Hours
  • Support: 5-10 Hours

Total Estimated Time: 30-45 Hours

More Information

I plan to update this post as I add more wanted features as well as completing other tasks.

Thank you for your time!
